Overview
Sandtex® Trade High Cover Smooth Masonry paint is a premium quality, water-based finish, that offers long-lasting protection to exterior walls and masonry. Formulated to be highly durable it helps hide hairline cracks and cover imperfections on walls and masonry surfaces. This matt to mid-sheen finish has 15 years’ of proven durability and provides excellent coverage and good opacity with a smooth finish.
Ideal for use on rendering, roughcast, pebbledash, concrete, building blocks, emulsion, or masonry-painted surfaces.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from anything that may affect adhesion.
- For porous surfaces, apply 1 coat of Sandtex Trade High Cover Smooth Masonry paint diluted with up to 40% clean water as a primer coat.
- Previously painted gloss surfaces will need to be abraded to provide a key.
- Loose or flaking material will need to be removed by scraping or brushing with a stiff bristled brush.
- Remove any organic growth by applying in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.
- Any surfaces that are porous or chalking should be treated with prior to the application of Sandtex Trade High Cover Smooth Masonry paint.
Application
We always recommend performing a test patch to the surface to be decorated to ensure you are happy with the finished results.
- Stir well, always intermix packs in a larger container for colour consistency.
- For maximum durability apply two coats of Sandtex Trade High Cover Smooth Masonry paint, allowing 3-5 hours between each coat.
- Apply using a 4-inch brush, exterior roller or airless sprayer.
- Do not apply when there is a risk of rain, frost or if the temperature will fall below 8ºC during the application and drying period.
